Why, Hello!

My name is Danielle, and I am a special-needs mom, wife, veteran, and photographer.

I think it's so important to know a little about the person who is behind the camera!

First-most, I'm a mommy to three wildlings- 8 year old (Manolo), 5 year old (Ellie), and 4 year old (Mateo or "Tay Tay"), so I know ALL about the toddler woes as we are in the midst of it!  All three of these cuties are diagnosed with autism.  I have learned that seeing the world through their eyes has opened up so much more wonder and beauty in my life.  Motherhood is beautiful and messy.  I like to think it has made me a better and more patient human being and photographer.  I have photographed many families who have autistic kiddos, and I love that I get to connect with other special needs families.

I can't forget about my wonderful husband, Jaime, whom I've been married to for 10 years.  We served together in the Air Force for 11 years before I got out to pursue my photography dream.  We've created a wonderful life together, and he is just everything to me.  He is also my main shooting assistant and most of my clients have had the pleasure of meeting him especially during mini-sessions.  He's usually the one carrying my equipment and helping me chase after our littlest clients!

I have a special place in my heart for newborn photography and photographing little ones.  It has taken us many years of unexplained infertility before becoming pregnant with our first son, Manolo.  We also experienced two heart-breaking miscarriages that led us to our rainbow baby, Ellie.  Our journey with infertility and loss has been challenging, but we are so grateful to be able to have three beautiful children.  I know our journey is not uncommon and may even be your journey.

No matter what your journey is, I would be honored to capture it.
